This is an update of a 1973 basement. It had a wet-bar that protruded 8' into the living space, and only under bar storage. New layout retains sink and counter space, adds a space for a full-size refrigerator, upper cabinetry, and 8' of full-height pantry cabinet space, all while giving back open floor space. An impressive shop added on to the side of this amazing log home. Beginning in late August, it was a race to get this completed before the snows came in the mountains of Idaho City.
This was a Tuff Shed transformation. The lady of the house wanted a peaceful get-away in her own backyard and decided to call it "the cabana". This space could also easily be a home office.
This a kitchen upgrade. Two skylights were added to increase ambient natural light. Soffits were removed to update the style and increase upper cabinet space. Countertop sq footage was doubled, and cabinet space nearly tripled.
